Psychiatry Department

About

Integrated Psychiatric Services were a long felt overdue for the people of Karbi Anglong and adjoining districts of Assam. Psychiatric services were started in DMCH along with all other Clinical Departments w.e.f 27th November, 2019. Although started with only OPD services, indoor (IPD) services were also started soon. Currently, department is facing scarcity of staffs but still it is functioning as an independent Department as far as possible. Department of Psychiatry is providing daily OPD and IPD services along with emergency services as and when required according to our capacity with limited staff. On behalf of all the staffs and colleagues, I personally request everyone to take the advantages of all services provided by the Department of Psychiatry, DMCH
